Covid-19 Antibody Testing

Distribution service of

Covid-19 lateral flow device

Information about this service

This service provides patients with Covid-19 lateral flow antigen tests which allows users to detect whether they have the virus and are likely to transmit the virus to others when they are asymptomatic. If you are displaying symptoms, please refrain from entering our branches and follow government guidelines to protect our staff and the community.

Pharmacists are accessible and trusted and therefore, many patients prefer receiving their devices from our stores.

The tests will solely be provided and will not be conducted on site. Furthermore, this service does not include interpreting test results. We only source our test kits from NHS approved providers.

Key Points to make you aware of include that:

  • The test kits help identify those who are COVID-19 positive but do not display symptoms.
  • If you do test positive please refrain from entering our branches and follow government guidelines.
  • Please follow the instructions on the kit to get the most reliable results.
  • Please report your results irrespective of whether it is positive or negative. This helps the NHS ascertain areas that have rising and declining Covid-19 asymptomatic cases.
  • If the result is positive, it is likely that you had COVID-19 upon testing.
  • If the result is negative, it is likely that you did not have COVID-19 upon testing, however you must still continue to follow any relevant guidelines and restrictions.

What are the benefits of using this service?

The service will enable more to get tested and thus identify more positive asymptomatic cases in the community and therefore break the chain of transmission. This is due to the accessibility of pharmacies within the community.

This will especially help to protect those who are most vulnerable to the impacts of the virus.

What you need to know before your visit

Prior to your visit, please get a 16 digit collection code which you can access online here or by calling 119. Our staff will not supply test kits without this as collecting this code enhances patient safety.
