Seasonal Flu Vaccination

Seasonal Flu Vaccination Service

What to Expect at Your Appointment

From September to March, we provide flu vaccinations tailored to your needs. Here’s what you can expect:

How the Vaccine Works:

The flu vaccine contains an inactivated form of the virus, which cannot cause flu. It stimulates your immune system to prepare a defence, offering robust protection within 14 days of administration.

Specialised Vaccines for Over 65s:

For those aged 65 and older, a vaccine with an added ‘adjuvant’ enhances immune response for greater efficacy.

Accessible Clinics:

With extended opening hours and walk-in availability, our pharmacies offer convenience for your busy schedule.

Targeted Protection:

We vaccinate individuals at higher risk of complications, including those with long-term conditions and frontline workers.
